Earlier this week, some players discovered that they weren’t properly receiving quest experience for completing missions within The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt . While not all users are currently being affected by this bug, those that are running into the glitch have found their personal character progression halted since completing quests is the only way to acquire experience in The Witcher 3 .
Thankfully, the game’s development team is aware of the issue and is already at work to fix the bug. CD Projekt Red’s Marcin Momot has reassured gamers on the official Witcher 3 forums that an upcoming update will correct the experience glitch in a free title update that is scheduled to become available on all platforms next week.
“We would like to let everyone know that we are aware of the XP glitch players are reporting and we are working to have it fixed as soon as possible across all platforms (Monday for PC & patch 1.04 on consoles in the following days).”
Momot also told The Witcher 3 fans that there is no great cause for alarm if they happen to fall victim to the mission glitch because it shouldn’t affect their ability to properly develop Geralt in the latter half of the game. The developer confirmed that there are far more quests available within The Witcher 3 than what is needed to be at the appropriate level that CD Projekt Red intended gamers to be at near the end of the game.
“At the same time we want to shed some light on the issue. First of all, it doesn’t impact the game balance in any significant way. Also, you will be able to finish the game with your character achieving a level within the threshold we had in mind when we designed the game.”
The next update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will give console gamers the ability to adjust the font found within the games subtitles, menus, and more. While the new font options have already been given to PC players, Momot confirmed on his personal Twitter account that patch 1.04 will finally bring the font fixes to the Xbox One and Playstation 4 editions of The Witcher 3 .
CD Projekt Red plans to continue to improve The Witcher 3 over the coming years. As the Inquisitr reported earlier this week, the developer recently revealed that releasing updates and creating new features for The Witcher 3 will remain their primary focus for the next two years.
