Pat Robertson has come out with another doozy to explain homosexuality. Robertson has never been much of a fan of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender community (and that is really putting it lightly). In fact, it is one of the preacher’s most talked about topics. One might even say that Robertson is obsessed with homosexuality.
Well, the 700 Club host has something new to say about the “Homosexual Lifestyle” and this time he really outdid himself. This time Robertson proposed that being gay was in some way related to a type of “Demonic Possession”.
The claim came during a segment about a man who, according to Robertson, “trolled the streets” for seven years looking for “cheap sex with other men” while his wife sat at home “completely clueless.”
Robertson had to school his listeners about the danger of being married and trolling the streets looking for gay sex.
He said about the man,
“The world today says ‘OK, so you are gay, you want to have affairs with men — that’s cool. You have an absolute right to do that, why not? That’s not the right attitude. The attitude is that this is sin. It’s wrong. And [this man] realized it was wrong but couldn’t control it. But that type of conduct is wrong… he is obsessed. He has a compulsion. I would think that it is somehow related to demonic possession…”
Pat Robertson has had a long and distinguished career telling Americans how much God hates homosexuals. He has often blamed natural disasters and wars on gay people. He has also likened gay marriage to pedophilia.
