ABC’s The Bachelorette 2015 season may have just started airing, but franchise fans are already buzzing about The Bachelor 2016 season. Filming will begin in the fall with a winter premiere date and people already have plenty of suggestions about who they think should be handing out roses. What do the Bachelor spoilers and speculation available so far indicate?
Ever since Bachelorette couple Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray broke up, people have been buzzing about the possibility of Josh becoming the Bachelor 2016 lead. While ordinarily the new lead comes from the previous season of the show, there have been exceptions. Both Emily Maynard and Jen Schefft headlined their own seasons after breaking off their engagements from prior seasons, for example.
According to Reality Steve’s spoilers, the network is extremely interested in having Josh Murray be the next lead. Would Josh do it? In a recent interview with City TV, Josh indicated that he just might be, or he would at least seriously consider it. At this point Murray is still single, but the producers aren’t going to lock in on anybody quite this soon.
Of course, there will surely be contenders from the current Bachelorette season. Based on Reality Steve’s spoilers for how this season plays out, attention may likely be placed on guys like Shawn Booth, Nick Viall, Ben Higgins, Dr. Chris Strandburg and some would say maybe even Ben Zorn. According to Steve’s spoilers so far, though, two guys in particular are in serious consideration: Chris and Shawn.
Both Booth and Strandburg made serious first impressions in the premiere episodes of the Bachelorette 2015 season. Are they really both still available to hand out roses themselves? If Reality Steve’s spoilers about the season are accurate, they may well be indeed.
It is definitely too early for anybody to start packing their bags for the 2016 season as there’s the full Bachelorette season and even Season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise to go before anybody starts filming The Bachelor. The network will surely see how the guys on this spring season connect with the viewers as the public’s reaction definitely has the ability to sway the decision-makers.
It’s unlikely at this point that the show would go with an unknown, and though some speculate that the show could try two bachelors at the beginning like they did this spring on The Bachelorette, it seems likely they’ll go back to the traditional one lead. There’s definitely time for new contenders to come into the picture, and those with the show will surely tease viewers with the possibilities for the next few months.
For now fans will have to make their opinions known and stay tuned for more Bachelor spoilers as filming approaches. Would you like to see Josh Murray, Shawn Booth, Dr. Chris Strandburg or someone else as ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 lead?
