Kim Richards Rehab: ‘RHOBH’ Star Leaves Rehab To Attend Daughter’s Bridal Shower

Kim Richards left rehab to attend her daughter’s bridal shower, but is expected to continue treatment soon. According to Us Weekly, Kim was at Brooke’s shower on Thursday, checking out of rehab just in time for the special occasion. Kim looked super happy and healthy in a family photo posted by her sister, Kathy Hilton (the shower was held at Kathy’s home).

“With my beautiful sister and niece @kimrichards11 @brookewiederhorn so happy for you and Thayer! Wish you both a long life together xoxo Aunt K,” Kathy captioned the picture below.

Kim Richards decided to enter rehab on her own after she was arrested for public intoxication last month. Sources say that Kim’s proactive decision to go to rehab could help her avoid jail time when she faces the consequences for the various charges stemming from that particular evening (they includ trespassing, resisting an officer, and battery on a police officer). As she awaits her day in court, sources say that she is taking the steps to get herself help so that she can show the judge that she’s taking this very seriously.

Meanwhile, People Magazine caught up with Kathy Hilton on Saturday at the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s 2nd Annual Super Saturday event. Showing her support, Kathy was very positive about her sister’s decision to get help.

“She’s great. She’s doing really, really well. I’m very proud of her. She decided on her own to go.”

Kim Richards has gone to rehab in the past, and has had a lot of success with her sobriety. She had been sober for about three years before her recent setback, but she seems to want to get back on the right path. She does have the support of her family, but it hasn’t been the easiest of roads for her. She and her sister, Kyle Richards, are on the outs right now. In fact, Kyle was not at Brooke’s shower, and has not spoken to her sister in several weeks.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Kim just received some other bad news. Just last week, the 80-year-old woman that was attacked by Richards’ pit bull won a lawsuit against the reality star. A judge ruled that Richards needs to pay the woman over $8,000 — but the woman’s attorney says that there will be an appeal. She was seeking $1 million from Richards, Bravo, and Evolution Media after the attack.
