Watch Team Canada Vs. Belarus Live Online: Start Time, Streaming Video For World Hockey Championship Quarterfinal

Fans can watch the Team Canada vs. Belarus hockey game live online and see which team plays through to the World Hockey Championship semifinals.

The teams meet Thursday at 10 a.m. ET from Prague. The Canadians finished atop Group A, and will now face Group B winner Belarus, who defeated Norway 3-2 on Tuesday.

Though it’s been a bit of a surprising run for Belarus, Team Canada isn’t taking them lightly. The team has a 5-2 win over the United States this tournament and has lost two close games in overtime.

“We know we’re going to be challenged by a very good Belarusian team,” coach Todd McLellan said. “They have one line that’s very dynamic, that can score goals. They’re a hard team to play against. We’ve been able to watch some games and scout them a little bit.”

Those who watch the Team Canada vs. Belarus game live online will see a Canadian team going at full blast. Sidney Crosby got a rest on Tuesday, as Canada already had their group wrapped up. McLellan said the former NHL MVP will come out ready for Thursday’s game.

“Guys understand that the intensity is going to shift now,” Canadian forward Jason Spezza said. “It’s always hard to knock a team out. Belarus is a structured team. They’ve played together during the season so they’re going to pose different problems for us than anything we’ve seen.”

Though it may lack the luster of the Winter Olympics, the International Ice Hockey Federation tournament is pitting some of the best players in the world — minus those still in the NHL playoffs, however. Canada has the benefit of an early exit for the Pittsburgh Penguins, which made Crosby available, but are missing goalie Carey Price as the Montreal Canadiens were still on a run for the Stanley Cup.

Crosby, who is trying to erase the disappointment of his team’s early exit, brings quite a bit of experience. He has not only won the Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh in 2009, but has also led Team Canada to gold medals in the 2010 and 2014 Olympics.

“I’m excited,” he told NHL.com. “Obviously, it’s always a great honor to represent your country, and this is a great event. The competition will be very good, and I’m excited to be with this group of guys.”
