Angry Teen Father Slams Infant Son’s Head Against A Wall For Absolutely Ridiculous Reason

Edgar Daniel Galvez Lopez snapped during an argument with his girlfriend for an extremely selfish reason. Now, his innocent infant son has suffered as a result of his careless actions. According to ABC-15, the 19-year-old father became furious with his girlfriend when she refused to cook him dinner on the evening of Apr. 20.

Her refusal led to a verbal confrontation that quickly escalated into a physical altercation. Lopez allegedly grabbed his girlfriend by the hair and slammed her to the floor. However, the vicious assault didn’t stop there. Apparently, he felt more needed to be done to make his frustrations known because he then turned his attention to their one-year-old son.

According to arrest records, he grabbed the baby and threw him against a wall above their couch. Arizona Daily Star reports the baby was rushed to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Doctors confirmed that the baby sustained a skull fracture from the horrific incident. On Tuesday, May 5, Lopez was arrested for abuse.

During a police investigation, Lopez admitted he assaulted both his girlfriend and his son. However, he insists his actions were a result of his girlfriend’s attack on him. Lopez claims she’d put her hands around his neck, and he threw her to the ground out of self-defense. He also admitted he’d thrown his son on the couch “where he may have struck his head,” reports KPHO.

Regardless of what led to Lopez’s retaliation, he’s now facing charges for child abuse and reckless assault. He was arrested on “suspicion of one count of child abuse with intent and one count of assault with intent,” reports SF Gate.

His bond was set at $50,000. He made his first court appearance on May 6. No further details have been released about the baby’s condition.
