Baby In Dumpster: Nebraska Police Find Body That Could Be His Mother, Say Baby’s Brother Is Missing

A baby was left in a dumpster in Nebraska, wearing only a diaper, put there by an unknown person or persons after his mother was allegedly killed. His older brother is still missing.

According to People Magazine, the 11-month-old baby (identified as Angel Ramirez-Marinero) was found by a man who was cleaning out his car and heard a “strange sound.”

“I went and looked on the inside the dumpster and I seen a little hand with an empty water bottle moving. Very disturbing, very upsetting and I couldn’t believe what I saw,” the man said.

The child had a couple of scratches and bruises on him but was otherwise in good condition. He was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.

It’s unknown how long the baby was in the dumpster. Nebraska police say that a woman’s body, believed to be consistent with that of the child’s mother’s body, was found in a ditch by a couple who had been walking by. The body was clothed, but no shoes or socks were found, suggesting the body may have been dumped there.

According to NewsMax, the woman’s sister-in-law has confirmed that the body was that of the baby boy’s mother (police have yet to confirm this with certainty). There is now a widespread search for the brother of Angel, 5-year-old Josue Ramirez-Marinero.

Josue was last seen with his father, Jesus Marinero, when Jesus picked him up from daycare on Wednesday. The boy was wearing a gray shirt and sweatpants. Authorities believe that the child could still be with his dad, who drives a silver Jeep Cherokee with Nebraska plates SRH941. An Amber Alert has been issued for Josue.

While the baby found in the dumpster is going to be okay physically, Nebraska police are very concerned about his older brother. While there has not been a suspect named in the case, many presume that Josue is with his father, who may have known something about the child’s mother’s apparent death and how Angel ended up in a dumpster.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the deceased woman’s home had been a target of several home burglaries from January through April. It is unknown if there is any connection between the home break-ins and the woman’s death.

Many hope that Josue is found soon and that he is unharmed. Anyone with information about the child’s whereabouts is asked to call the police.
