‘Teen Mom’ Rehab Update: Leah Messer-Calvert Reportedly Checks Into Treatment For Pill Addiction [Report]

A Teen Mom rehab stint has just reportedly begun, with Teen Mom 2‘s Leah Messer reportedly checking into treatment for an alleged addiction to prescription pills. On May 6, according to a Radar Online report, a source confirmed the following to In Touch Weekly:

“She’ll be gone for a month. She wants her girls to visit.”

As Messer reportedly begins her Teen Mom rehab stay, her children, Ali, Aleeah, and Adalynn, have been left behind. In addition, she’s said to be living in denial about her alleged addiction.

“She’s still telling people she’s going away for therapy. They’re hoping her denial doesn’t stop her from making a fresh start.”

On the last season of Teen Mom 2, fans watched as a Teen Mom rehab stint appeared imminent. After telling her doctors of issues with anxiety, which reportedly stemmed from her daughter Ali’s muscular dystrophy diagnosis, Messer was prescribed anxiety medication. However, once she began taking it, she appeared completely out of it and admitted it made her feel “druggy.”

In response to her shocking behavior, while caring for her children, Messer’s ex-husband, Corey Simms, allegedly filed for full custody of his and Messer’s twins, along with his new wife, Miranda. The custody battle was seen during the show’s fifth season.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Messer’s mom denied a Teen Mom rehab stint just weeks ago. On Facebook, Dawn Spears shared the following message with fans:

“TRUE FANS listen up. Leah is NOT going to rehab lol. This is Momma Dawn and I 100% ASSURE you that Leah is NOT going to a DRUG REHAB. Lots of LOVE to the true fans. all will come out on the upcoming show about Leah Dawn Calvert, Jeremy, Corey,Miranda, and the babies. But rest assure I HATE drugs don’t want association with them and wouldn’t NEVER Condone them.”

Further confirming Messer’s reported Teen Mom rehab stay is the fact that her social media accounts have been silent for the last couple of days. Also, Calvert recently told fans he would be heading home to West Virginia after spending the last couple of weeks in Ohio. If the Teen Mom rehab report is factual, the pipe layer may have returned home to care for his young daughter with Messer, Adalynn Faith.

Leah Messer’s alleged Teen Mom rehab stint will likely be featured on the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2, which premieres on MTV on July 9 at 10 p.m.
