Ashton Kutcher did a complete home remodel for his mom, Diane Finnegan Kutcher, that made her Mother’s Day the most memorable imaginable. The 37-year-old actor turned her Homestead, Iowa house into a dream home, reported People .
“It’s my way of saying thank you to my mom,” said Ashton.
Kutcher created a documentary that showcased both the remodel and his devotion to his mother.
“My mom has been the greatest influence in my life – my parents gave me everything. They went to great sacrifices to give me the life that I have and anything I can do to say thank you is the right thing.”
Using Houzz technology, Ashton was able to direct the project from California. The online design site in which he has invested provides everything from advice to the opportunity to do remodels even if you’re not on location, as was Ashton’s situation.
“My stepdad and I built this place when I was 13-years-old,” explained Ashton.
And Kutcher expressed appreciation for his stepfather.
“The one thing that has eternally bonded my stepdad and I is that my stepdad loves my mom as much as I do. When you’re the oldest son, and your parents have gone through a divorce, you’re always mistrustful of any other guy. But Mark stepped in and a lot of ways was there for me in ways my dad couldn’t be there for me. I’m one of those people in this world who’s lucky enough to have two dads. I’m just a blessed person to have that much love in my life.”
Once Ashton showed the remodeled house to his mom, there was a lot of love to go around, along with tears, reported the Daily Mail .
“It does mean a lot to me, it’s beautiful,” she exclaimed.
And while Ashton celebrated his mother, he isn’t neglecting his beloved Mila Kunis. The couple have a baby girl, Wyatt Isabelle, who was born seven months ago.
Mila only recently revealed her wedding band.
And she’s not the only celebrity being coy about engagement rings and wedding rings. As the Inquistr reported, Jennifer Lopez is sparking engagement rumors by flaunting a huge diamond ring on her ring finger at the Met Gala.
In addition to that ring, reports are circulating that Jennifer is planning a big wedding in December, and that her beau Casper Smart already has signed a prenuptial agreement that includes a house and a car.
