Watch live online as Bangladesh cricket looks to score one more historic victory over Pakistan as the two rival Indian Subcontinent nations open their second and final test match Wednesday morning at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Bangladesh has never defeated Pakistan in the nine test matches the two cricket-crazy countries have now played against each other. In fact, when Bangladesh forced a draw in the first test match in the current series, it was the first time Pakistan had failed to win outright.
For information on how to watch Day One of the Pakistan vs. Bangladesh Second Test Match live online, see the bottom of this article. First ball is scheduled for 10 a.m. Bangladesh Standard Time. That’s midnight on Tuesday night United States Eastern Time, 9 p.m. Pacific — and 4 a.m Wednesday morning in the United Kingdom.
Weather in Dhaka is expected to be clear for Day One of the Test, but some rain could move in later, creating damp conditions for Day Two.
The current tour has been an unmitigated disaster for Pakistan, which previously dominated bilateral cricket with Bangladesh — the country that was known as East Pakistan and was under control of the Pakistani government until a bloody 1971 war split the two into independent countries.
Before the 2015 tour, Pakistan and Bangladesh squared off 47 times in matches in all formats of cricket. Bangladesh won exactly one time, in a One Day International in the 1999 Cricket World Cup.
But in a 15-day period starting with the first ODI on April 17, Bangladesh drubbed their visitors from Pakistan, winning three ODI matches by 79 runs, seven wickets and eight wickets, and then a T20 match by seven wickets, before drawing the First Test behind record-setting opening stand by Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes, who posted 206 and 150, respectively before Pakistan bowlers took a single wicket.
The frustration for Pakistan spilled onto the field, when Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Wahab Riaz confronted Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan in a finger-pointing squabble during Saturday’s play.
The argument cost each cricketer a full 30 percent of his match fee, after the International Cricket Council reviewed the incident and leveled fines Monday.
