Jade Helm 15: Ted Cruz Weighs In On Realistic Military Training

Jade Helm 15 has caught the attention of Ted Cruz. The Republican presidential candidate stated over the weekend that he has been made aware of concerns relating to the realistic military training (RMT) slated to take place in seven southwestern states in July.

Ted Cruz had this to say about Operation Jade Helm 15 concerns during an interview with Bloomberg at the South Carolina Republican Party convention on Saturday.

“My office has reached out to the Pentagon to inquire about this exercise. We are assured it is a military training exercise. I have no reason to doubt those assurances, but I understand the reason for concern and uncertainty, because when the federal government has not demonstrated itself to be trustworthy in this administration, the natural consequence is that many citizens don’t trust what it is saying.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Operation Jade Helm 15 involves 1,200 special forces team members engaging in armed forces drills into seven southwestern states as a part of realistic military training exercises. The military exercises have become highly controversial and have sparked martial law, FEMA camps, and Second Amendment rights concerns. The special forces teams will reportedly be ordered to “operate undetected” among the American civilian population.

An Army Special Operations Command Operation Jade Helm 15 release said the realitstic military exercises will be significantly larger that similar realistic trainings in the past in both “size and scope.”

“The nature of warfare is always changing and U.S. Army Special Operations Command’s mission is to make certain the Army’s various Special Operations Forces are trained, equipped and organized to successfully conduct worldwide special operations in support of our nation’s interests. Training exercise Jade Helm is going to assist our Special Operations Soldiers and leadership in refining the skills needed against an ever changing foreign threat.”

Operation Jade Helm 15 begins in July and will continue throughout the summer for eight weeks. Jade Helm will take place in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado. Residents of those stated have been deemed “hostiles” for military training purposes.

Some of the Army Special Forces teams be dropped from planes into the states. The weapons they special forces soldiers will be carrying when parachuting to the ground will be loaded with blanks.

Ted Cruz’s Jade Helm 15 comments also included insight about why mistrust against the federal government is being voiced.

“I think part of the reason is we have seen, for six years, a federal government disrespecting the liberty of the citizens. That produces fear, when you see a government that is attacking our free speech rights, or Second Amendment rights, or religious liberty rights. That produces distrust.”
