‘The Young And The Restless’ Casting: Is Another ‘General Hospital’ Star Headed To Port Charles?

Rumors are swirling that another Young and Restless star would be heading over to General Hospital soon. The buzz has been intensifying, with many looking specifically at Christian LeBlanc as the likely actor involved. With LeBlanc’s character of Michael Baldwin currently battling cancer, it is easy to see why the focus has been on him. What are the latest Y&R spoilers about this character?

As viewers have seen on Young and the Restless, Michael and Lauren have separated and she is growing closer to Cane. Christian LeBlanc has been on Y&R for quite some time now, so would they really kill him off? This potential development has been brewing for months now, and many think that the show will indeed kill Michael soon.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, LeBlanc’s time at Young and the Restless may well be coming to an end soon, perhaps even this month. It also seems that General Hospital is officially casting a role that could very well be a fit for LeBlanc. The soap is said to be looking for a name actor to play a major recurring role, and they need a handsome man in his 50s.

Just who will this role be? Many General Hospital spoiler fans theorize that this could be a sign that Dr. Kevin Collins is returning to Port Charles, but with someone new in the role. It’s certainly possible that the role could be for a different character, and so far it’s only speculation that LeBlanc is potentially making the move.

It’s not a stretch for many Y&R and GH fans to see how Christian could be swayed to head to Port Charles over Genoa City. LeBlanc is very close with Michelle Stafford, who is now playing Nina Clay on General Hospital and used to play Phyllis on Young and the Restless.

Of course, there’s also Billy Miller, who now plays Jason Morgan on GH and used to play Billy Abbott on Y&R. If LeBlanc were to head to the other soap, he’d have some friendly faces already there.

Before fans get too hooked on this possible casting coup, they may want to consider that Y&R says that LeBlanc isn’t going anywhere. Soap Opera Digest shares that a Young and the Restless spokesperson said that the rumors about LeBlanc leaving are not true. Many fans would point out that it’s not as if the soap would confirm the rumors at this point, so everybody will have to wait and see if Michael beats his cancer or not.

Will Christian LeBlanc really be the next Young and the Restless star to leave Genoa City and take up residence in Port Charles on General Hospital? Fans will have to stay tuned to find out.
