Bill Cosby Stands Tall Amid Recent Sexual Assault Allegations
The ever cheerful Bill Cosby has enthralled fans for decades, from the jolly Fat Albert to Dr. Huxtable and beyond. Suddenly Bill Cosby became the center of attention regarding accusations of sexual assault and even rape alleged to have happened back in the 1980’s. It seems once news grows cold from one woman’s complaint, another comes forward to renew the horrendous allegations of sexual crimes committed by Bill Cosby.
One must wonder if Bill Cosby made sexual advances a common thing in his life, as one accuser has claimed in a column in the Washington Post, how did the information remain a secret for decades? Why are all these women coming forward now?
Bill Cosby himself refuses to discuss it. According to Us Weekly, last November Bill Cosby’s lawyer, John P. Schmitt, addressed the breaking allegations, calling them “decades old” and “discredited.”
“Over the last several weeks, decade-old, discredited allegations against Mr. Cosby have resurfaced. The fact that they are being repeated does not make them true. Mr. Cosby does not intend to dignify these allegations with any comment. He would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support and assure them that, at age 77, he is doing his best work. There will be no further statement from Mr. Cosby or any of his representatives.”
True to his word, Bill Cosby has not addressed the issue. The only nod he’s given to the entire affair is a quick joke at a show in Ontario when one lady in the audience stood up to go get a drink.

Does this really sound like the comments of a guilty man? Bill Cosby is set to wind up his “Far from Finished” comedy tour tonight, May 2, at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta. According to AJC, though the show is planned to be under protest, Cobb is not canceling the show and will not issue refunds. The sexual assault allegations may or may not be true. The women who have come forward claim they are true, but Bill Cosby “will not dignify” them with a response. It’s a classic he-said-she-said conundrum that cannot be proven, and so we are left to determine for ourselves what we will believe.
