Megan Fox Turns Heads With Britney Spears’ Schoolgirl Look On ‘TMNT 2’ Set [Video]

Megan Fox was reportedly channeling Britney Spears. Fox was in a schoolgirl outfit on Thursday (April 30) while filming scenes for TMNT 2. A report from the Huffington Post stated that she was at New York City’s Grand Central Terminal wearing the outfit that has turned a lot of heads. It certainly will remind people of the music video that Britney Spears made for her hit song “Hit Me Baby One More Time” back in 1999.

For any fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, one of the more well-known facts is that the character Fox plays (April O’Neil) is a reporter. It is, then, pretty easy to make an assumption that her character is in disguise or undercover in these scenes from the new TMNT movie. The character had reddish/light brown hair in the first film, as opposed to the blonde wig that Fox is wearing with her Britney Spears schoolgirl outfit. It could be that the hairstyle has been altered again, but more likely that her character is doing some undercover reporting.

It appears very clear the TMNT 2 director Dave Green and the screenwriters for the sequel are ramping up the sex appeal this time around. When the latest version Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came out in 2014, Megan Fox played a very subdued version of April O’Neil. There were complaints from reviewers that the character also wasn’t fleshed out enough, but that looks like it could change this time around.

As previously reported on the Inquisitr, there are some new cast members to the film franchise that will join Megan Fox. It includes Stephen Amell (Arrow) as Casey Jones, Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, and Alessandra Ambrosio and Laura Linney in two more secretive roles. William Fichner returns as Eric Sacks, and Will Arnett is back as Vernon Fenwick. It has been rumored that Ambrosio is in the film as a love interest for Arnett’s character, but that hasn’t yet been confirmed.

If nothing else, having public scenes like these filmed in central New York will bring added buzz for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. The film isn’t due out until June of 2016, but it’s never too early to try to create additional buzz for a big-budget action film. Having Megan Fox parade around in a Britney Spears schoolgirl outfit will definitely help with that buzz. As for how good the storyline for this film will be, fans will have to wait another year to find that out.
