Baltimore Police Threatened By Black Guerilla Family, Bloods, And Crips In United Gangs Partnership To ‘Take Out’ Cops

Baltimore police will be targets of attacks by united gangs in response to the Freddie Gray death, according to a warning issued following Gray’s funeral earlier today. The Black Guerilla Family, the Bloods, and the Crips gangs have agreed to unite in an effort to “take out” Baltimore law enforcement officers, according to “credible information” received by the police department.

A release regarding the Baltimore police threat posed by the Bloods, the Crips, and the Black Guerilla Family was issued to the media around noon on Monday.

“The Baltimore Police Department/Criminal Intelligence Unit has received credible information that members of various gangs, including the Black Guerilla Family, Bloods, and Crips have entered into a partnership to ‘take out’ law enforcement officers. This is a credible threat. Law enforcement agencies should take appropriate precautions to ensure the safety of their officers. Notification will be sent via NLETS. Further information will be sent through appropriate channels. Media is request to distribute this information to the public and law enforcement nationwide.”

The Freddie Gray protests in Baltimore turned criminal and violent over the weekend. Police cars were damaged, objects were thrown at the officers, and vandalism occurred near the baseball stadium. For days, the protesters were allowed to walk down city streets impeding traffic during the demonstrations over Freddie Gray’s death.

The Baltimore Police Department said that earlier this year the Black Guerilla Family sent a members into a station house Northeastern District of the city with marijuana, cocaine, and a gun. The incident was allegedly initiated by the Baltimore gang to test the police department’s security.

Over the weekend, there were protests in Baltimore that at times turned violent, with damage done to police cars and some vandalism of outdoor patios near the baseball stadium.
