Justin Bieber Rep, Prom Students Slam High School Officials Claims

Justin Bieber’s prom crashing this past weekend thrilled the teens who went. Not so much, Chatsworth Charter High School officials.

As the Inquisitr reported, Justin, model pals Hailey Baldwin, Gabby Westbrook, and others popped into the prom for a few minutes at Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood on Saturday, where the singer was recording. Delighted students mobbed the star and posted videos of him dancing. The official Twitter account for the seniors and other students later thanked the Biebs online for swinging by.

Since then, a rep for Los Angeles Unified School District High School administrators told TMZ, they’d known Justin was recording, but claim they were “assured he would not come to interfere with the program.”

The District rep claims, “His [Justin’s] entourage pushed past the school’s security to gain access to the dance floor and was there for three to four minutes,” adding that security had been worried they wouldn’t be able to control the crowd if they went crazy over the singer’s presence.

LAUSD spokesperson Ellen T Morgan said told Yahoo Music that Justin wasn’t supposed to attend the event.

Videos show the kids did freak out over Justin’s presence, but no-one was hurt. But while security concerns at any kind of event are important, the singer’s rep and some students who went to Chatsworth’s prom dispute the School District’s claim that Bieber’s entourage physically forced their way into the dance.

Bieber’s rep told TMZ, that no one tried to prevent Justin and his crew from walking into the prom, which they claim the singer only went into because a few students outside the venue asked him.

The rep continued, “It’s unfortunate they’re trying to make this a negative thing,” adding, “It was awesome for all the kids.”

The singer’s rep’s statement is backed by several Chatsworth student who took to Twitter Tuesday to voice their anger over the school district’s board version of events. It should be noted Morgan did concede that Bieber’s attendance at the prom was a “once in a lifetime experience” for the students.

Morgan added, “No student was injured while he was there.”

Interestingly, Tamar Galatzan — a criminal prosecutor, mother, and LAUSD School Board Member — tweeted the message directly below a day before TMZ’s report.

It’s likely more (online) students will add their opinions on the matter throughout the day. But it’s ironic that Galatzan, who is a member of the LAUSD, tweeted her appreciation to Bieber.

Is it possible that when Chatsworth prom security were doubtless asked how Justin’s crew crashed the prom, that security covered themselves by claiming they pushed their way in?

Is the school board trying to protect itself from possible parents complaints?

Footage of Justin and his group entering the Jim Henson building, doesn’t appear to show any resistance was made by prom security in the lobby, who are not seen manning the outside entrance and didn’t even look like security.
