The details are still developing in this mysterious case, but people are taking to social media to share what information they have about her life. Some of the people in her community claim that she’s new, having just moved to the area from Florida a couple of weeks ago. The hashtag #AbbyRussell is also beginning to pick up speed on social media.
The Duluth News Tribune shares more details about what she was doing leading up to her disappearance. Apparently, she had worked until 5:00 p.m. Friday at her job as a server at Pub 112 in Stillwater. After that, she went out with friends. It’s not known where she went and what she did with her friends, and reports aren’t identifying these people. She reportedly headed home after hanging out with them, though.
Her father, Ken Russell, says that she stepped out at around midnight, but never came back in the house. Her mother reported her missing at around 2:00 a.m., but they aren’t clarifying on what circumstances led her to leave the home, or why they panicked and called police after only two hours.
What happened to Abbey Russell? Authorities are searching by land, air, and boat — and it’s going on two days since she was last seen.
