‘Curly Sue’ Actress Ties the Knot

The adorable red head with big curls in the classic 90s film Curly Sue is all grown up and tied the knot over the weekend. Not only did the couple have a wedding to celebrate, but they also have something else to be excited about… they’re expecting!

Singer-songwriter and actress Alisan Porter married Brian Autenrieth on Saturday, according to reports in People Magazine. The actress, best known for starring in the 1991 film Curly Sue, which was directed by the late John Hughes and starred Jim Belushi and Kelly Lynch, told the magazine she married her best friend.

“We’ve been friends for 13 years and it’s the most incredible feeling to know you’re marrying your best friend,” the 30-year-old said.

Porter and Autenrieth, 33, were married in front of 100 of their closest family and friends at Diablo Dormido, the historic California ranch that’s located right in the Santa Monica Mountains. Porter wore a beautiful, custom vintage-inspired R-Mine lace dress while her bridesmaids dressed in The Alisan dress, which were custom created by Shareen Vintage just for the intimate wedding.

Following the wedding, guests celebrated at the reception where they dined and danced the night away. According to the magazine the couple’s first dance was to The Second Time Around by Frank Sinatra. The song seems to work great since they began dating when she was 18, but decided to part ways before they got back together to give their relationship a second chance.

The couple has more reason to celebrate since they’re expecting their first child. Porter is due to give birth to their son in July.

While Porter is known more for Curly Sue, she’s also appeared in A Chorus Line and Footloose on Broadway.
