Kim Kardashian’s BFF Jonathan Cheban Says He Will Definitely Be Watching Bruce Jenner’s Interview With Diane Sawyer
Along with the Kardashian/Jenner family and the rest of the world, Kim Kardashian’s best friend, Johnathan Cheban, says he will definitely be tuning in to watch Bruce Jenner’s highly-anticipated interview with Diane Sawyer.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Bruce sat down with Diane for an emotional and personal interview about his decision to transition to being a woman. The 20/20 episode is scheduled to air on Friday, April 24.
Previously known as a “man’s man” and a former Olympic gold medalist, Jenner’s decision has shocked and captivated the nation.
In a teaser clip, Bruce can be heard telling Diane that his entire life “has been getting me ready for this.” Speculation around Bruce possibly becoming a woman has been going on for months, however, this is the first time that he will actually be confirming his transition.
With a long ponytail, painted fingernails, and more recently being seen wearing women’s clothing, his family has been watching him change before their eyes. Now the world will get to know the secret Jenner has been keeping to himself for so many years.
Us Weekly caught up with Cheban at the Food Bank for New York City Can Do Awards Dinner at Cipriani Wall Street on Tuesday, April 21, and asked him if he would be watching the interview.
“I think I’d be the only one in the world not watching it,” Cheban said. “So of course I’m going to watch it! I’m anticipating it myself.”
Cheban frequently guest stars on the family’s reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians and remains one of Kim Kardashian’s closest friends. However, he said he doesn’t even know what to expect from the interview.
“I think Diane Sawyer has been keeping that under wraps from all of us,” he said. “But I am looking forward to watching it and finding out.”
Cheban says he plans on spending some time with his BFF this week.
“Kim is in town,” he said. “I’m going to see her tomorrow.”

As for Kim’s thoughts on Bruce’s transition, Johnathan said it wasn’t his place to speak for her.
“You would have to ask them [Kim and her husband Kanye West],” he told the reporters. “I can’t speak for them.”
