Paige Birgfeld’s Body Identified By Dental Records

The body of Paige Birgfeld, an attractive single mom who vanished from Colorado more than four years ago, has been identified through dental records. Birgfeld was running an escort service during the time of her disappearance, but her father, Frank Birgfeld, was a little more blunt about his daughter’s profession.

Birgfeld said:

“I think ‘escort’ is kind of a polite word for prostitution.”

The Associated Press reports that Birgfeld, 34, was found in a dry creek bed in Colorado earlier this week. Birgfeld was twice divorced and had three children.

After Birgfeld’s disappearance, the Colorado police department started interviewing acquaintances and found out that Birgfeld ran a business called Models Inc.

Her friends and family believed that Birgfeld made a living by selling kitchen products and were shocked to find out about her second job.

Frank said: “Absolutely, we weren’t aware of it.”

In 2008, a “48 Hours” segment called “The Secret Life of Paige Birgfeld” examined the search for Birgfeld as officers unearthed her secret profession.

Birgfeld’s skeletal remains were found on Tuesday in the gulley in Delta County. She was identified by dental records but investigators are waiting for a DNA test to confirm the identity.

No one has been arrested in Birgfeld’s disappearance. Her car was found burned in Grand Junction in 2007 and police identified Lester Ralph Jones as a suspect at the time. Jones, who was one of Birgfeld’s clients, is still a suspect but police have not talked to him since the body was found.
