What is the housewife status of Kim Richards? After the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was arrested last week, several conflicting reports surfaced about the reality star’s housewife status. However, according to a new report, none of them are true — at least not yet.
According to an E! News source, production talks in regard to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ sixth season have not yet begun. The site claimed a few months will likely pass before Richards’ housewife status is discussed. Although the series hasn’t officially been renewed, E! News said fans can “expect it to return” and confirmed reports claiming Richards has gotten an ultimatum, which could put her housewife status in jeopardy, are false.
“Everyone at the network is shocked and sad about Kim. We only want what’s best for her.”
Richards was taken into custody last Thursday morning around 1:30 a.m. after she reportedly caused a scene at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Right away, talk of her housewife status began. On the show’s first and second seasons, Richards was seen struggling with her addiction, and it made for a sad and touchy subject. So, would Bravo really want to go down that road again? Or would they prefer to downgrade Richards’ housewife status, or remove her role entirely, in lieu of a more light-hearted and fun series?
Certainly fans don’t get much enjoyment out of watching Richards — or anyone for that matter — struggle with the disease of addiction, so one would assume Bravo would consider changing Richards’ housewife status to at least a lesser role.
Unfortunately, fans may have to wait for answers about Richards’ housewife status.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Andy Cohen addressed the issue of Richards’ arrest during an appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, last week. Speaking to the host, Cohen revealed the following, via Us Weekly.
“I reached out to Kyle and I think the family is obviously very concerned. This is a topic that ran through the entire season that we just wrapped of Beverly Hills Housewives. I don’t know exactly what happened, but I’m thinking of her and I’m glad to hear that she wasn’t hurt and no one was hurt. I hope it leads to some peaceful resolution for her and her family.”
Cohen did not reveal any information in regard to Richards’ housewife status. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 comes to an end tomorrow night at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
