This has been a rough year so far for superstar Bobby Brown, as he’s watched his only daughter with the late Whitney Houston fight for her life in a medically induced coma. It’s been nearly three months since Bobbi Kristina Brown was rushed to the hospital after an incident in her bathtub left her unconscious. Though Bobby Brown initially rescheduled performances to remain by Bobbi Kristina’s side, time caught up with him and he had to hit the road recently to fulfill contractual obligations.
Last night, Bobby Brown told fans that “Bobbi is awake!”
According to the Daily Mail, Bobby Brown addressed a crowd of cheering fans at the Verizon Theatre in Dallas, Texas last night, claiming that Bobbi Kristina is awake and watching him. Though Bobby Brown spoke the words the whole world has been waiting to hear, it’s uncertain if he was speaking literally or figuratively. Did Bobbi Kristina Brown truly open her eyes and regain consciousness, or did Bobby Brown mean his daughter’s spirit is still alive and watching over him? Unfortunately, Brown did not elaborate and has left us wondering exactly what he meant.

Since the very first day Bobbi Kristina was admitted to the hospital, the Brown and Houston family have urged fans to pray for the 22-year-old. It appears now the prayers may finally have been answered. Now is not the time to stop praying — it’s time to flood the gates of Heaven with heartfelt prayer in intercession for healing for Bobbi Kristina.
Bobby Brown himself has been praying all along, and has given the situation into God’s hands, as he mentioned on April 12 at the Soul Food Festival in Los Angeles, his first performance since Bobbi Kristina entered the hospital. The Christian Post reports on Bobby Brown’s emotional speech during the festival.
“I must tell you all, this feels really, really good, he said. I want to thank you all for coming tonight and supporting me and my family.
“Rough times are rough times, and hard times are hard times. I don’t know what the hell I’m going through right now but I’m giving it to God and letting him deal with it.”

If the news that Bobbi Kristina Brown is indeed awake from the coma and on the road to recovery is true, then Bobby Brown can finally put the pain of the last few months to rest and concentrate on the future.
