Sofia Vergara Refutes Ex Fiance’s Claims About Destruction Of Embryos

Sofia Vergara is not remaining silent when it comes to claims made by her ex, Nick Loeb, that Vergara wants the couple’s frozen embryos destroyed.

The Modern Family star had her lawyer, Fred Silberberg, release a statement on her behalf as ET Online relays.

“Vergara has never suggested that she wished to have embryos destroyed. She has always maintained that they be kept frozen, a fact of which Loeb and his counsel have always been aware, despite Loeb’s statements to the contrary.”

It was mere days ago that In Touch first reported that Nick Loeb was suing Vergara over the allegations that she planned to destroy the embryos which the couple had frozen only six months before the point they split, back in 2014. To this Silberberg has responded by indicating that these claims are “uncredible” and lacking merit.

In addition, Vergara’s lawyer has provided documentation from the Roxbury Surgery Center in California which, as ET Online notes, indicates that they “require consent from both parties to destroy the embryos.”

The publication communicates the wording on the form.

“[U]nless otherwise directed by both of us in writing in person… or by notarized letter, the Center shall continue to store the Cryopreserved Material for an indefinite period of time.”

Silberberg also communicated what is already quite obvious to fans of Sofia: the fact that she has moved on from the relationship with Loeb and has found happiness in a new relationship with Joe Manganiello, whom she is set to marry. Rightly so Silberberg concludes the statement in response to Nick Loeb with words reminding of this all. People reports the words Silberberg relayed to them on behalf of Sofia.

“Vergara, who has happily moved on with her life, is content to leave the embryos frozen indefinitely as she has no desire to have children with her ex, which should be understandable given the circumstances.”

Loeb has a completely different agenda and it has been reported that the lawsuit against Sofia also involves an admission from Nick that he wishes to have a child using the embryos.

Unfortunately, when the couple went their separate ways back in 2014, it was not amicable. People shared the words of Vergara when she announced their separation a year ago.

“We have [been] having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together and [because] of my work and now his, its been getting worse and worse, not fun anymore.”

This is certainly not the type of drama that Sofia needs at this point when her career is on fire and she is so entirely happy in her current relationship.
