Jason Hoppy Wants More Child Support, Bethenny Frankel Will Pay More Than $10,000 Per Month?

Jason Hoppy isn’t happy with his current custody situation with Bethenny Frankel. Although the soon-to-be ex-husband of the Real Housewives of New York City star agreed to terms of visitation many months ago, the finances involved are no longer to his liking. According to a new report, Jason Hoppy recently requested more child support from Frankel.

Jason Hoppy “wasn’t entitled to any spousal support, but does get $10,000 per month for child support,” for 4-year-old Bryn, a source told Radar Online on April 17.

“It makes Bethenny absolutely crazy that she has to give [Jason Hoppy] a dime. But since he’s been unable to find a steady job since the divorce, Jason plans on going back to court to ask for more money. Not a huge increase, but New York City is very expensive!”

Jason Hoppy wed Frankel years ago while filming their Bravo spinoff, Bethenny Getting Married. After the series aired to impressive ratings, the newlyweds signed a deal to continue their reality run with Bravo, and starred in Bethenny Ever After for two additional seasons before moving on.

Several months later, after just under three years of marriage, Jason Hoppy and Frankel announced their split, claiming they planned to remain amicable. However, that has been far from the case in the years since. Not only has the pair feuded over the custody of their daughter, they’ve also been at odds over Frankel’s Skinnygirl earnings and their New York City apartment.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Frankel has reportedly refused to settle her divorce from Jason Hoppy after reaching a stalemate in their fight for their former home. As Radar Online confirmed, Jason Hoppy has been living in the home since the couple split years ago.

Now, not only are the couple still fighting for the apartment, they may also be headed for another custody hearing over Jason Hoppy’s recent request for more money.

According to the source, Frankel hoped to avoid the issue when she initially filed for divorce.

“Bethenny initially sought sole and physical custody of Bryn because she didn’t want to pay [Jason Hoppy] any money in child support. There was no valid reason for Bethenny and [Jason Hoppy] to have joint custody, which was a bitter pill for her to finally swallow.”

Frankel is currently starring in Season 7 of The Real Housewives of New York City, which airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo. Jason Hoppy is not featured on the show.
