‘Destiny’: Xur’s Location And Exotic Goods For Weekend Of April 17, Dance Party

Bungie slipped a jukebox into the Tower bar area with the Destiny 1.1.2 update released earlier this week. Naturally, this is where the mysterious Exotic vendor made his appearance Friday morning. Will PlayStation and Xbox players have a reason to dance though?

Xûr can be found in the very back of the bar located underneath the Future War Cult in the hangar this weekend. It’s a long jog, but easy to find. Just turn left when you enter the hanger, go down the stairs to the left, and then straight back. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map just to be sure though.

Destiny Xur Tower Bar (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

Xûr and his items will only be available in Destiny through the morning of Sunday, March 29. As soon as the clock strikes 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT, he will be gone.

The Exotic items on sale this weekend in Destiny are led by “The Last Word” Hand Cannon. This gun hasn’t been sold often by Xûr, but it is an absolute beast in PVP due to its rapid fire capabilities. Meanwhile, the stat rolls on the Titan and Hunter armor pieces are quite good this week while Warlocks get a frequent visitor with a decent stat roll.

This week’s selection of upgrades is fairly average all around. The Achlyophage Symbiote and Sunbreakers are the only ones with great stat rolls. That said, it may be hard to advise to re-purchase or upgrade any Exotic piece of armor that you currently have with The House of Wolves just a couple of weeks away.

Here is what is available for sale and upgrade from Xûr this weekend. Thanks again to DestinyDB for the Exotic information below.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.

Destiny - The Last Word (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

The Last Word has a slight learning curve to use it, but it is easily one of the top tier PVP weapons even if it doesn’t have much usefulness in PVE. The Hand Cannon is able to fire quickly and continuously thanks to the Fan Fire perk. Combine that with all of the bonus accuracy perks from “Hip Fire,” “Perfect Balance,” and “Last Word” and you have a dangerous weapon that can be fired while aiming down the sights or from the hip.

Destiny Helm of Inmost Light (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

The Helm of Inmost Light is a Titan Striker specific helmet and is really a must have for those focused on high damage output. The Invigoration perk reduces the melee cooldown when Orbs of Light are picked up while Rain Blows increases melee attack speed. The Recklessness perk is the headliner though, as it adds Death from Above and Headstrong to Fist of Havoc.

The 125 Strength stat roll is just shy of the current 128 maximum this week. That makes it an excellent pickup if you don’t already have one.

Destiny Radiant Dance Machines Hunter Boots (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

Radiant Dance Machines are a pair of groovy looking Hunter boots and the only Exotic pair currently available. They can be worn by either sub-classes and allow Hunters to move quicker while aiming thanks to “The Dance” perk. This is most useful in PVP, where strafing and quick movements can mean the difference between killing or being killed.

A 150 stat roll on Strength is just six points away from the maximum for these boots. This s a great roll for Destiny players who want to look swag-tastic while enjoying the increased movement speed in PVP.

Destiny - Voidfang Vestments (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

Voidfang Vestments is an Exotic Warlock chest piece that comes with a perk for the Voidwalker sub-class. The Improved Axion Bolt perk will spawn an additional seeker for Axion Bolt grenades. You also respawn with full grenade energy and it comes with a Hand Cannon Ammo and Special Weapon Ammo perk to allow you to carry additional ammo for both.

This piece is as common as they come for Warlocks. The 155 Strength roll is above average, so it’s not a bad buy if you’re newer to Destiny and haven’t run across this armor yet.
