The Met Gala, also known as the Costume Institute Gala, took over the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City on May 1, and the stars didn’t disappoint when it came to their red carpet looks.

BeyoncéFollowing a week of drama, Beyoncé turned heads at the New York fashion gala by slipping into an embellished nude latex gown that screamed Met Gala. Beyoncé kept her hair simple when paired with the floor-length design, helping her to stand out in a sea of white and silver gowns.
Lady Gaga in VersaceLady Gaga went all space age glam with sky high platform heels and a metallic blue one-piece. Never one to shy away from a fashion statement, Lady Gaga’s 2016 Met Gala outfit sported some serious metallic glamour alongside the “Marry The Night” singer’s all-out hair and make-up, made up of a super teased-blonde wig with bright red lipstick.
