Blake Shelton Misses His ‘D**n Line’ During ‘The Voice’ Team Performance

The Voice coach, Blake Shelton, showed even seasoned professionals make mistakes once in a while. He performed “In The Midnight Hour” with his team on Tuesday night’s elimination show.

Everything started out smoothly. Two of the three teammates were free to relax, knowing they had made it safely to the top ten. However, the leader of the pack may have been a tad too relaxed and caught up in the moment. About halfway into the performance, there was a slight pause when someone missed a line. Blake quickly realized it was him, and his laugh gave away the slip-up. Like a true pro, the show went on without another hitch, and none of the contestants seemed fazed by the mishap.

Shelton later took to Twitter to let everyone know that, yes, he did in fact miss “a d**n line.” He also commented that he liked how things were going — referring to Hannah Kirby and Meghan Linsey being voted through. That meant if Corey Kent White made it, Team Blake would be left unscathed. It was later revealed that the Okie did get enough votes to move on to next week.

“Yes I missed a d**n line in that song… S**t!!! I like how this is going though!!!”

The “Sangria” singer may be focusing a lot of his energy on Team Blake, but there’s another team that is close to his heart. He announced that he is also head coach of Team Miranda. His “wifey,” Miranda Lambert, is nominated for ACM Entertainer of the Year, along with Jason Aldean, Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, and Florida Georgia Line. This would be her first time winning the honor, according to Radio.com.

Lambert is also in the running for just about every other category, including Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. She’s nominated for two off camera awards, as well — Video of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year — both with Carrie Underwood and their “Somethin’ Bad.”

Her hubby is hosting the 50th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards along with Luke Bryan. He is nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year, and Vocal Event of the Year with Ashley Monroe for their “Lonely Tonight” duet.

Tune-in to the 50th Annual ACM Awards April 19 on CBS at 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET to see how things turn out for Team Miranda. The Voice returns Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET on NBC, where you can follow Team Blake. Will they remain untouched for another week?
