Woman Thought To Be Pregnant Doesn’t Discover That She Isn’t Until She Prepares To ‘Give Birth’
One woman has been left devastated and heartbroken over her “pregnancy.” According to Mirror Online, Madalina Neagu thought she was pregnant. So, when she began suffering from pain, she simply thought she was in labor. Unfortunately she was not.
She actually learned that she wasn’t pregnant at all, but sadly, doctors didn’t make the shocking discovery until she was prepared to “give birth.” It has been reported that the 42-year-old woman actually had an 11-pound tumor inside her uterus that caused her stomach to swell. Although she appeared to be pregnant, there was no baby at all. The disheartening news has left Neagu traumatized.
The day the shocking incident occurred, Neagu had been rushed to the emergency room after complaints of severe abdominal pain. Even though she appeared to be in labor, doctors reportedly ran a number of tests. That’s when they made the shocking discovery.

Dr. Dorin Scladan, who treated Neagu at the hospital, recently shared details about the daunting incident. Even the doctor admits that the woman had symptoms commonly associated with a nine-month pregnant woman. Initially, they had no reason not to believe what she was saying – until they ran tests.
“As the woman told us she was pregnant, we initially expected pregnancy complications. In fact, the size of her belly was quite similar to that of a nine-month pregnant woman, so we didn’t have any reason to doubt what she told us.”
Neagu was rushed to emergency surgery to have the huge tumor removed, reports Metro. The operation reportedly took several hours to complete, but it has been confirmed that the surgery was a success. Luckily, she will make a full recovery. Now, she’ll just be lamenting the loss of the child she thought she’d have. Although she’ll recover, the experience is quite bittersweet.
