George Kotsiopoulos Says Giuliana Rancic’s Actions Are ‘Messed Up’
It seems like she’s trying to get the attention off of her racist Zendaya comment, but Giuliana Rancic‘s attempts at turning attention towards her weight or her cheating ex just aren’t working. Rancic’s former co-host, George Kotsiopoulos, blames the former Fashion Police cohost for her own comments.
Kotsiopoulos has talked to People about Rancic’s inability to take responsibility for her own words and actions.
Kotsiopoulos told People, “To not own up to what you said and to blame it on others is just a little messed up.”
If you had forgotten, although that’s pretty close to impossible at this point, Rancic made a comment about artist Zendaya’s dreadlocks, saying that they “probably smelled like patchouli oil and weed.” The “ignorant slurs” upset her co-hosts so much that Kelly Osbourne and Joan Rivers replacement, Kathy Griffin, quit the show.
So why is Kotsiopoulos saying that Rancic is not taking responsibility for her words? Rancic has openly said that the “joke” was not hers, and that one of the writers had come up with it.
Kotsiopoulos has said that Rancic’s excuse is just that – an excuse.
According to the Daily Mail, he said, “I was never scripted. What I said were my own words, was my own opinion.”
He also added that despite what Rancic had said, no one had writers, not even fellow co-host Kelly Osbourne.
Osbourne has also had a few words about Rancic.
Osbourne told People, “Giuliana is not often wrong. She really isn’t, but it’s been really, really heartbreaking to see her behavior that has transpired when she did get caught being wrong. That’s what broke my heart.”
Osbourne and Rancic have yet to mend their relationship with Osbourne sending out a tweet earlier this week saying, “Liars always get caught!”

When asked about the tweet on Extra, Rancic responded, “There’s no way that can be about me, because I’m telling the truth.” Despite her former co-hosts speaking out against her saying that they weren’t scripted, Rancic hasn’t changed her story – it wasn’t her joke but her writer’s comment.

It seems almost ironic with Giuliana Rancic’s explanation of her comments being a part of her script, that her latest book, which she is on tour promoting, is called Going Off Script.
