First Look At Jared Leto With A Touch Of The Joker For ‘Suicide Squad’

Even though The Joker may not be seen as one of the key members of the Suicide Squad team itself by some, he will be a big part of the movie. So far, there hasn’t been a whole lot seen of Jared Leto as The Joker just yet, and he wasn’t even in the recent cast photo that was tweeted for the world to see. Now, though, he has appeared online and has a touch of The Joker in him.

Suicide Squad director David Ayer hopped on Twitter to keep the hype going for the film, and he tweeted out a highly-filtered picture of Jared Leto, complete with Joker-green hair.

You have to admit that it’s an incredibly cool and quite creepy look for Leto. Not only is the look of his hair a bluish-green, but he also has no eyebrows. It’s obvious that they are trying to keep Leto’s full look as The Joker a secret for as long as possible.

It’s been a big week for Suicide Squad news as yesterday, Ayer tweeted out the first cast photo as everyone got together for the read-through.

Everyone was there except for Jared Leto, of course. That is why Ayer tweeted out the photo this evening with the hashtag of #WhereIsJared attached to it. Leto is on tour with 30 Seconds To Mars and couldn’t quite be there yet.

Collider reported that the read-through of the script comes just weeks before the start of production on Suicide Squad. The star-studded cast is a big one, and no-one is in costume or character, but it’s fun to see who will be who.

  • Will Smith — Deadshot
  • Margot Robbie — Harley Quinn
  • Jai Courtney — Captain Boomerang
  • Joel Kinnaman — Rick Flag
  • Cara Delevingne — Enchantress
  • Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje — Killer Croc
  • Viola Davis — Amanda Waller

Includes in the image above are Ike Barinholtz and Adam Beach, who are new additions to the cast. It’s being reported that they will play Dr. Hugo Strange and Ravan respectively, while Jim Parrick still step in as Deathstroke, according to El Mayimbe.

Suicide Squad is scheduled to hit theaters on August 5, 2016, and things are really coming together for the start of production. Many fans are excited for the DC Comics’ film adaptation, but they are most excited to see how Jared Leto does as The Joker.
