Giuliana Rancic Weight Loss: Host Answers Questions About Eating Disorder

Giuliana Rancic’s weight loss has been troubling her fans and critics for a long time and many attribute her slender figure to an eating disorder. However, that is not the reason behind her shedding of so many pounds.

While promoting the release of Giuliana Rancic’s book, Going Off Script, the 40-year-old host of the troubled E! show, Fashion Police says that the weight loss is not due to an eating disorder, as has been widely reported in tabloids. There is a completely logical explanation for how thin she is looking at recent red carpets.

Things have been stressful in her personal and professional life as of late and to top it all, Rancic is still suffering the effects of cancer treatment. She was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer in 2011, while her and husband Bill were trying to get pregnant.

After comedian Joan Rivers unexpectedly passed away, The Fashion Police has been in disarray. Co-host and creator, Kelly Osbourne, quit the show in March and the drama has continued to this day, which only adds to the stress.

In her book, Rancic candidly talks about her weight loss and other personal tragedies that have contributed to her current, less-than-healthy looks. She discussed her body and insecurities surrounding this very touchy subject with Today host Savannah Guthrie.

“I do not have an eating disorder. I have never had an eating disorder. I wanted to be very clear about that. In fact, I eat a lot. People always love to tweet, ‘Eat a burger.’ I eat burgers. It’s not working.”

Giuliana Rancic has been doing her best to gain some weight and told Dr. Oz she even talked to her physician for some sound advice.

“I actually recently spoke to a personal trainer because my doctor said, ‘Maybe you should get in the gym.’ And I’m thinking, ‘Get in the gym? I don’t want to lose weight! Don’t you usually go the gym to lose the weight?’And he said, ‘No, no, no, you should — just don’t do cardio. Do some weight training.'”

“So there I am, lifting my little 10-pound weights. I’m just trying to get some more definition, because I want a little bit of curve, I want to be sexy. And right now, it’s killing me to look in the mirror and see that I’ve just lost all (of it). I’m just not the girl I used to be.”

Hopefully with these statements, Giuliana Rancic’s weight loss can stop being a topic of discussion as she is her harshest critic.
