Ramona Singer and her husband Mario are “almost” divorced, according to the latest report. Although the Real Housewives of New York City divorce isn’t quite finalized, Singer is reportedly ready to move on.
In an April 6 report by the New York Daily News , a source claimed to have overheard Ramona Singer discussing her ongoing divorce from Mario at a birthday lunch for Sheila Rosenblum, the owner of Lady Sheila Stable Two, at the Mark Hotel.
“I overheard Ramona say her divorce was almost over. She was saying that she was so happy and that she’s excited to move on with her life and leave the past behind her. She was drinking champagne and very open about it; there was no wringing of hands or crying or complaining. She said she was dating, but she wouldn’t say whom.”
Ramona Singer and her husband were first said to be on the outs at the end of 2013, when it was reported that Mario had engaged in an affair with the much-younger Kasey Dexter, a fitness instructor and socialite. Although Singer didn’t address the issue at that time, she filed for divorce in January 2014, after reportedly catching Mario with Dexter at their Hamptons home. However, the marriage was far from over and just weeks after Singer’s filing, she and Mario were back on.
For months, Ramona Singer and Mario attempted to make their marriage work. Then, in the summer of 2014, it came crashing down, when it was revealed Mario was still in contact with Dexter. On July 24, according to the New York Daily News , Ramona Singer kicked her husband to the curb, and days later, he and Dexter went public with their romance in New York City.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Ramona Singer’s longtime friend and fellow Bravo reality star, Millionaire Matchmaker ‘s Patti Stanger, recently revealed she caught Mario cheating on Singer at a party in The Hamptons. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live , Stanger opened up about the shocking run-in.
“Me and Jill in the Hamptons. I saw the whole thing go down. I saw him pick the girl, at a certain person’s house you probably know, and it was a big dinner party and we just came for dessert.”
“He had a mid-life crisis going on, and she doesn’t deserve that. She’s a great girl.”
