Fans can watch the Duke vs. Michigan State basketball game live online and see which team wins the Final Four matchup and advances to the 2015 title game.

The game features two traditional college basketball powerhouses, each taking a different path to reach the Final Four. Duke has been at or near the top of the polls all season, and their Final Four run was a foregone conclusion to many. Michigan State was expected to have a down year after last year’s Elite Eight exit, but instead the seventh-seeded Spartans made a surprise run.

Start time for the Duke vs. Michigan State matchup is 6:09 p.m. Saturday from Indianapolis.

Fans who watch the Duke vs. Michigan State game live online will see if the Spartans can once again play Cinderella and knock off another top team.

“We’ve been that way all year: overlooked, doubted the whole time,” said the Michigan State’s Travis Trice, who Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski called the biggest breakout star of this year’s NCAA Tournament (via ESPN).

“But we don’t really look like it like that,” Trice added. “If we win, people are going to be talking about us. We win a national championship, everybody will be talking.”

For Spartans coach Tom Izzo, the run to the Final Four isn’t a surprise, but the timing of it is. Izzo said he thought last year’s squad had what it takes to go the distance, but they ended up losing in the Elite Eight to UConn.

“I thought last year was the team that could not only get to a Final Four, but last year was the team that could win it, and you know it, I know it, we all know it,” Izzo told MLive on Tuesday in East Lansing. “You know you only get so many chances at that, and do we have another chance? Who knows? Who knows what destiny is in this profession.”

But this year, the Spartans have made their run to the Final Four on the strength of a well-rounded squad of over-achievers.

“Our program, our team, we have to do it a different way,” Izzo said. “We don’t have the All-Americans all the time, we’re trying to make them.”

After running into a difficult stretch at the start of 2015 that included losses to N.C. State and Miami, Duke has cruised into the Final Four matchup. The Blue Devils said they’re more than ready for Saturday’s matchup.

“It’s just special. You can just feel it in the air now, how important it is, what it means to be here,” said Duke’s Tyus Jones. “Just look out and see how many seats are out there. On Saturday night, those seats are all going to be filled. It’s a special feeling.”
