Is Lamar Odom Heading To Rehab? Khloe Kardashian Is Reportedly Worried About His Addiction Issues
Lamar Odom has reportedly continued to struggle with drug addiction. According to a new report, the former NBA star is currently on drugs, and his friends and family, including estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, are extremely concerned.
On April 1, an In Touch Weekly source revealed Lamar Odom’s current drug of choice was called “sherm.”
“[Lamar Odom] has been doing an old-school drug called ‘sherm,’ which is taking a joint and dipping it in liquid PCP. It’s really dangerous and can make you violent.”
Lamar Odom split from Khloe Kardashian at the end of 2013, but so far, the couple hasn’t finalized their divorce. In early 2013, reports claimed Lamar Odom was using drugs and having an affair. While a number of women came forward in the summer of 2013, Kardashian stood by her man for several months before ultimately filing for divorce on December 13, 2013.
After filing, Kardashian was left hanging after Lamar Odom reportedly refused to send in his response to the paperwork. Without Odom, divorce proceedings couldn’t begin, and he had made himself unavailable. Some even claimed he was in hiding, although he recently surfaced in Los Angeles.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Lamar Odom appeared to be on the verge of reconciling with Kardashian just two months ago. In a report by OK! Magazine, via Real Mr. Housewife, at the end of February, a source claimed the couple had been spending time together for months in hopes of possibly getting back together.
“They’ve spent many nights together in the past couple of months. Lamar is so sorry for everything and is begging Khloe to take him back. He’s been sober for six months and is determined to prove that he’s a changed man. He wants them to renew their vows!”
Although the couple has been through a lot together since tying the knot in September of 2009, the source claimed Kardashian was “seriously considering” ripping up their divorce papers and recommitting herself to their marriage.
Unfortunately, according to the In Touch Weekly source, Lamar Odom’s alleged reunion with Kardashian will likely be short-lived, as she and others close to the basketball star are urging him to go to rehab.
“[Lamar Odom]’s friends and family and Khloe are all pushing him to get into rehab. Lamar needs serious, serious help.”
Lamar Odom has kept a low profile since he and Kardashian split, and while he briefly signed with an NBA team last year, he doesn’t appear to be playing professional basketball at this time.
