The Batman v Superman trailer will be available soon, but what can we expect when one of the most anticipated previews hits theaters?
If the information coming from Collider is correct, we will finally be seeing a Batman v Superman trailer attached to Mad Max: Fury Road, which opens in May. While this news is not officially coming from Warner Bros. or director Zack Snyder, and there have been many false rumors in the past, it’s from a usually reliable source.
Not much about the plot that Snyder will work with for the Man of Steel sequel, aside from the main characters — Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) — has been announced officially. However, we do know that Batman v Superman will set things up for the next chapter, the highly awaited Justice League.
We also know that Snyder will introduce us to a more “mature” Batman — hence Affleck’s casting — and a more comfortable Cavill, who has learned a lot since discovering his true origins and is more comfortable in his own skin.
Snyder explained that he dropped the “S” from “Vs” in order to make it less of a rivalry between the two superheroes. Moreover, according to Comic Book Movie, Henry Cavill said we will see a handshake between Batman and Superman.
As to what can we really expect in the first Batman v Superman trailer, nobody really knows. Anyone that follows movies knows that directors and studios don’t like to share a lot if they can help it, and Zack Snyder is one of the best at keeping things under wraps.
You may remember the only trailer up to this point was shown at the San Diego Comic Con last summer. The clip showed the first encounter between Batman and Superman and not much else. While fans are eager to see something from Snyder, we shouldn’t get our hopes up that we will see all the new characters that will make their debut for DC Entertainment. Snyder did an excellent job at keeping his secrets while filming in plain sight this past summer, and nobody got a glimpse at Batman or any of the other superheroes that will be featured in.

We may get to see those characters we already know from Man of Steel, such as Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Perry White (Laurence Fishburne), but will we get to see Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), Alfred (Jeremy Irons) or Aquaman (Jason Momoa) in the new Batman v Superman trailer?
