Prince William Starts New Job, Calls Kate Middleton’s Second Child A ‘Game Changer’

Prince William started a new job on Monday just under a month before Kate Middleton is due to give birth to their second child.

Prince William will now work as an air ambulance pilot for the Bon Air Services. According to USA Today, starting this summer, Prince William will pilot missions for the East Anglican Air Ambulance. All of these duties will coincide with his royal engagements and his charitable endeavors too.

The news of The Duke Of Cambridge’s new employment came of courtesy of Kensington Palace’s Twitter account.

Prince William had previously worked for the RAF in Anglesey where he piloted Sea King helicopters. The Duke Of Cambridge passed his Air Transport Pilot’s Licence exams back in March. This included passing 14 written exams on a variety of topics related to aviation, navigation, air law, flight planning, and the principles of flight.

Before he starts piloting ambulances in the summer, ITV reported that Prince William will undergo extensive training in a simulator, aircraft, and with in-flight skills, as well as numerous other job-specific training.

Prince William has been working part time and training for the position for several weeks. But once he goes full time, the Duke Of Cambridge will work day and night shifts, and his duties will see him attend to road accidents and heart attacks.

Prince William will be working in the region near his home at Amner Hall, which suggests that he and his wife, as well as Prince George and their impending baby will be spending more time in their Norfolk estate rather than at their apartment in Kensington Palace. It’s also been reported that Prince William’s entire $65,000 salary will be donated to charity.

Meanwhile, during his recent visit to a youth charity in South London alongside the Duchess Of Cambridge, Prince William told a member of the public that the birth of their second child will be a “game-changer.”

According to the Mirror, 40-year-old Claudia French spoke to Prince William about becoming a father for the second time. “We talking about him becoming a father again,” she explained. “And he said, ‘The first time is a learning experience, the second time is a game-changer.”

Kate Middleton is due to give birth to her and Prince William’s second child at some point between the middle and end of April.
