Adele Flips Middle Finger During Brit Awards, Blames The “Suits”
Adele went all MIA Super Bowl crazy at the British Music Awards on Tuesday night when she flipped the bird on national television.
Unlike the attention seeking MIA the British songstress wasn’t just giving the finger to a national audience for the heck of it, but rather she was upset over her second acceptance speech being cut short by the shows producers.
During her second awards speech Adele said:
“I’m so proud to be British and to be flying our flag” at which time her speech was cut off so the next performing act could be introduced.
Realizing that the countries current top singer was being cut off the crowd began to boo and Adele then flipped off the “suits.”
Realizing that her middle finger gesture may have been seen as a slight against her fans Adele later said of her act of defiance:
“I was about to thank the British public for all their support but they cut me off. I flung the middle finger. That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans. I’m sorry if I offended anyone, but the suits offended me.”
In any case the British TV audience is less uptight then the suits in America which means she’ll probably be in less hot water then MIA was for her Super Bowl stunt.
Regardless of the focus on her middle finger she did pretty well on the night winning awards for Best British Female Solo Artist and Best Album in London.
Do you think Adele’s middle finger stunt is that big of deal?
