Old Dog Teaches Young Puppy New Trick [Video]

You can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but an old dog can trick a young puppy. In the video above, an old boxer named Autumn chases her young friend around a circular trench of snow. But after one lap, the wise old boxer steps out and the adorable pup just keeps going.

According to the Huffington Post, Autumn the boxer is about 10-years-old. Earlier in the winter, the family brought home Dziki, the young puppy. The owner, Debbie Smalley, reports this is the first time the two dogs were outside playing together. Maybe in time, Dziki will figure out the older dog’s tricks.

The video, titled Old Dog Tricks Puppy, was uploaded on March 24 and already has over 1.4 million views.

The old dog’s trick certainly seems to be intentional — after all, Autumn does it twice in a row — but where she learned to be such a trickster remains unclear.

Other boxers aren’t quite as clever. According to the Telegraph, there’s at least one boxer dog that hasn’t quite figured out the vacuum.

As previously reported by Inquisitr, dogs performing more traditional tricks can be adorable too. This young French bulldog racked up millions of views just learning the basics of crawling and ringing a bell. The training might be pretty common, but the cuteness is not.

As for Autumn and her naive friend, they’re sure to have plenty of fun in the future. At least Autumn will. Maybe once the puppy gains some wisdom with age, it can compete with the old boxer’s trickery.
