The winner of the Elite Eight matchup will face the winner of Louisville and Michigan State, with a powerhouse looming in the final. Kentucky just held off its biggest threat of the year, defeating Notre Dame thanks to a pair of late free throws.
The Wildcats will meet Wisconsin, the team that most analysts believe has the best chance of stopping the Wildcats.
Whichever team wins, it will present an imposing matchup for the winner of Duke vs. Gonzaga.

“Gonzaga’s not just a great team, but a great program. Mark’s built a great, great program there,” said Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said, who said Gonzaga’s excellent season has been lost a bit in the hype over Kentucky’s unbeaten season.
“They would be tough to beat because of their talent, but they’re tougher to beat because they’ve won so much together,” he said. “We’ve had a sensational year, but we’re still an evolving team, we’re still trying to get better because of all the young guys.”
