Godfather Of Bobbi Kristina Brown: ‘We Believe In Miracles’

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the 22-year-old daughter of dynamic duo Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, remains in a coma despite a move earlier this week from an Atlanta hospital to a rehabilitation facility. Bobbi Kristina has been in a medically induced coma for nearly two months, since she was found unresponsive in a bathtub on January 31. Police are investigating the incident as a criminal case, but so far have not released any information regarding the cause of the near drowning. Speculations have included attempted murder, suicide, and drug use.

Since the beginning, the Brown and Houston family members have asked for prayer for Bobbi Kristina. The Washington Post reports that her grandmother, Cissy Houston, recently released an update on her condition and issued another call for prayer.

“She’s the same. [We’ve] moved her now to a place for rehabilitation.”

In an interview with WBLS, Cissy Houston discussed her own prayers for Bobbi Kristina, and her trust in the Lord.

“We’re praying. I don’t pray like that — I give it to God one time, ’cause I know he’s able. And I cannot change a thing. So I’m asking everybody just pray to the Lord, who we know can do something about it. If he works a miracle, thank God. If it happens the other way, I’m alright.”

Gospel singer BeBe Winans, along with his sister and singing partner, CeCe, are the godparents of Bobbi Kristina. BeBe has added his own plea for prayer regarding Bobbi Kristina’s condition.

“Bobbi Kristina is my godchild, CeCe’s goddaughter. Whitney and us were very, very close. My children were Whitney’s godchildren. It’s very difficult… It’s family. So we do all that we can, coming down – CeCe’s been down there constantly. And we’re just praying. That’s what we know to do. We believe in miracles and so it’s very, very difficult.”

The Winans have added their support to the Brown family as Bobbi Kristina continues on in a medically induced coma. Though there seems to be little hope for a recovery since Bobbi Kristina’s condition has not gotten better, she also has not gotten any worse. BeBe urges us to continue praying for Bobbi Kristina Brown.

“It’s hard to even imagine, it really is. You know, Whitney, it’s someone like my brother Ronald who passed — I think of her every day. And you just want the best for Bobbi Kristina, so we ask everyone to continue to pray that a miracle does happen, and that’s what we need.”
