Lily Aldridge Poses: ‘Maxim’ Photos Allow Victoria’s Secret Model To Maintain Angelic Modesty [Video]

When it comes to Lily Aldridge and her poses for Maxim magazine, the Victoria’s Secret supermodel decided that she was willing to go topless as long as she could appear angelically modest. So Maxim obliged with a unique twist on the standard exposure, reported E News.

Since earning her wings and halo as a Victoria’s Secret supermodels in 2009, Lily is proud to fly high among the eight Victoria’s Secret Angels. But that doesn’t mean that she’s willing to take it all off when it comes to revealing photo spreads.

“I’m very careful about it. I enjoy feeling sexy and beautiful; I just don’t think everyone needs to see everything.”

And so although Aldridge appears topless in the April issue of Maxim, she is carefully clad in a tasteful thong. After starting her modeling career when she was just 14 years old, Lily emphasizes that she’s learned that she has the power to set limits on what she’ll display – and what remains private.

Married to Kings Of Leon’s Caleb Followill since 2011, Aldridge doesn’t even consider herself a sex symbol. She’d prefer to be admired for her wit.

“I don’t think of myself as an object of lust. I can’t even say that with a straight face. But I’m more flattered when someone thinks I’m funny.”

As for her past, Lily paints a pitiful picture.

“I know it’s an age-old story that no one believes, but no one asked me out in high school!” she confessed.

Lily even missed her high school prom, noting that she was timid.

“I was in Paris, working. But I would have rearranged my schedule,” she declares, contemplating the possibility that someone might have asked her.

“I don’t know how I ended up where I am. I was so painfully shy as a child, [but] I eventually learned that it’s more exhausting to be shy than just to be open.”

In addition to Victoria’s Secret, Aldridge has modeled for Sports Illustrated. At five feet, nine inches tall, she’s one of the stars of the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on TV, and also appears in commercial campaigns for both J. Crew and Levi.

And as the Inquisitr reported, Victoria’s Secret supermodels work hard to maintain those angelic figures.
