34-Year-Old Married Mother-Of-Two And Teacher Pleads Guilty To Having Sex With 14-Year-Old Student

A 34-year-old former middle school teacher from Pennsylvania has pleaded guilty to having sex with one of her 14-year-old students. The married mother-of-two admits to having sex with the student on seven separate occasions both in her vehicle and at her home.

The Bucks County Courier Times reports that Jessica Streeper was a middle school math teacher at Eisenhower Science and Technology Leadership Academy in Buckingham, Pennsylvania. The math teacher plead guilty to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse after she began a relationship with one of her eighth grade math students in April of 2014.

The police were notified by an anonymous phone call that the math teacher was having an inappropriate relationship with one of her students. The caller said that the pair were having sex and gave authorities the boy’s name. After receiving the complaint, police went to the 14-year-old student’s home to interview him. During the interview, it was discovered that the young teen had a sexual relationship with Streeper.

The teen indicated that the pair had sex five times in the teacher’s vehicle and an additional two times in her home that she shared with her husband and children. To further implicate Streeper, numerous “sexts” were found on the boy’s phone from his math teacher. After speaking with the student, police confronted Streeper.

Police say that Streeper admitted to having sex with the boy along with sexting him. She provided a written confession to the police noting that she had sex with the 14-year-old student on multiple occasions. The Daily Mail reports that the former middle school teacher could face anywhere from 10 to 20 years behind bars for the sexual relationship with a minor. The prosecutor in the case, Sophia Polites, says that jail time would be “appropriate” in a case like this since teachers are entrusted with making sure children are safe, not abusing that trust.

“Teachers are entrusted with the responsibility of teaching our children, making sure our children are safe. Teachers are role models. What this teacher did was destroy that trust.”

Jessica Streeper will now be a registered sex offender which requires that she notify local authorities of her current address and place of employment for the remainder of her life. Despite immediate registry as a sex offender, Judge Garrett Page has not sentenced Streeper in the case. Instead, the judge postponed sentencing until the defendant undergoes a sex-offender evaluation and the probation office completes a background report.
