Former NFL star-turned-actor Brian Bosworth is facing charges of driving under the influence. Bosworth, also known as “The Boz,” was arrested in Los Angeles Friday morning, media reports indicate. As of mid-morning, he was being held on $5,000 bail.

Brian Bosworth, 43, started his career as a linebacker for the University of Oklahoma. He’s credited as being the only two-time winner of the Butkus Award in college football history. He was once suspended from the team over steroid use.
Bosworth went on to play for the Seattle Seahawks, scoring a 10-year, $11 million contract. After three years, however, he retired as the result of a shoulder injury.
Brian Bosworth later appeared in several films, including Three Kings, The Longest Yard, and Stone Cold.
Bosworth’s representatives have yet to issue any kind of public statement about his DUI arrest.
