Eva Mendes Says Sweatpants Cause Divorce, Slammed On Twitter
Eva Mendes has a very strong stand when it comes to a particular fashion item: sweatpants.
In a recent interview with Extra, the 41-year-old mother had a chance to express her honest feelings when asked if she finds comfort in wearing sweatpants around the house.
“Sweatpants, no, no, no, no. No, no, you can’t do sweatpants. Ladies, number one cause of divorce in America is sweatpants. No, you can’t do that.”
According to Us Weekly, Eva Mendes claimed that sticking to a fashion style that is “sweatpants-free” is “feminine.”

However, according to quite a few of the tweeted responses and reactions to her statement, not every woman agrees with Eva Mendes.

There might be a substantial number of mothers (and fathers) that disagree with Eva Mendes’ comment about sweatpants. However, Eva was able to get back to a common ground with new parents on another popular topic: the lack of sleep.
Eva discussed her enjoyment of being able to sleep again even though her daughter, Esmeralda, does not necessarily allow her to enjoy it consistently just yet.
“Something random can happen and it just suddenly is not sleeping through the night and you’re just like, ‘Wait, I thought we were sleeping through the night. What’s up?’ Why does it always happen at three or four in the morning?”
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling welcomed their daughter, Esmeralda Amada Gosling, into the world in September, 2014.
According to the birth certificate leaked by TMZ, she was born at Providence Saint John’s Health Center located in Santa Monica, California.
In addition to discussing her dislike for sweatpants and inconsistent sleeping schedule, Eva Mendes also talked about how her journey into motherhood has only increased her appreciation for her own mother.
