‘Teen Mom 2’ Jenelle Evans Doesn’t Think Nathan’s Arrest Will Affect Her Custody Battle

Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans may be a bit delusional when it comes to her upcoming custody battle for her 5-year-old son, Jace.

For the last five years, the Teen Mom 2 star’s mother, Barbara Evans, has been Jace’s legal guardian, but now, Evans wants more time with her son — and is prepared for a court battle to make it happen.

Unfortunately, the Teen Mom 2 star already has a number of things working against her.

Earlier this month, Evans was supposed to appear in court for the first hearing in regard to her regaining custody of her son. However, instead of attending the hearing, Evans skipped the appearance, opting to instead reschedule the hearing for a later date. Then, hours later, the Teen Mom 2 star and her fiancé, Nathan Griffith, were involved in a reported physical altercation, which, as the Inquisitr reported, led to Griffith’s arrest.

Despite her missed court date and fiancé’s arrest, the Teen Mom 2 star is said to be confident in her chances at regaining custody of Jace.

“Jenelle really believes that she is the best parent for Jace to have,” a source told Radar Online on March 17.

Barbara, on the other hand, isn’t so sure.

“She lectures Jenelle as always about how she should stay single and not go back to Nathan.”

Following the couple’s March 4 altercation, Griffith spent time behind bars and was ordered to refrain from having any contact with his Teen Mom 2 star fiancee for 30 days.

However, according to Radar‘s source, the fight “was blown out of proportion,” and isn’t expected to hold much weight when it comes to the Teen Mom 2 star’s upcoming custody proceedings.

“It seems likely that as long as no other incidents occur, Jenelle should be able to get custody.”

On Monday, according to a previous report by Radar Online, it was noted that the no contact order in place against Griffith had been lifted, allowing him to once again have contact with the Teen Mom 2 star.

In addition to that, the Teen Mom 2 star was said to be taking the steps necessary in order to have the charges against Griffith dropped.

“A victims advocate group reached out to Jenelle and told her that they are sending her a packet in the mail. Jenelle is supposed to send the packet back stating if she has any medical expenses that need to be reimbursed.”

Teen Mom 2 is expected to return to MTV later this year for Season 6.
