‘The 100’ Finale Spoilers, Renewal News: What Can Fans Expect?
The Season 2 finale of The 100 airs Wednesday night on the CW and fans are dying to see what happens. Will there be a big cliffhanger? Has the show been canceled or renewed for Season 3? There are some 100 spoilers out about what lies ahead and fans won’t want to miss them.
TVLine shares a sneak peek into the March 11 finale. This is the second part of a two-part Season 2 finale, so fans already know there are a lot of key characters facing difficult situations. The 100 spoiler sneak peek shows Murphy and Jaha in the boat and they finally reach land.
These two guys are definitely in rough shape, and TVLine teases that just prior to the boat hitting shore, “one of the series’ most insane moments yet” took place. Will these two, after losing so many and so much else, stay together as they push toward safety? It doesn’t look like it, and there are definitely dangers ahead yet.
As TV Guide notes, this 100 Season 2 finale is titled “Blood Must Have Blood, Part Two.” In addition to the action with Jaha, where it is teased that he makes a shocking decision, Lincoln will be angling for revenge while Clarke gets some assistance from somewhere or someone unlikely. As viewers have seen, Clarke has had to step up this season and there have been significant losses. From the sounds of things, there may be more losses still ahead.
While it seems likely there will be some stunning twists and turns in this finale episode of the season, fans can breathe a bit knowing that The 100 was renewed for Season 3. As Deadline shared in January, the CW gave early and good news to a handful of shows regarding renewals. The 100 along with a number of other network staples including The Vampire Diaries, Arrow and Supernatural have already gotten the green light for another season.
Though not all of the renewed shows will get full orders or be back right away in the fall, it is known that The 100 got a 16-episode order. For now, fans will have to stay tuned for a specific Season 3 premiere date.
As Hypable notes, The 100 spoilers for the Season 2 finale have teased that it will be “Merciless – really, really merciless.” Writer Aaron Ginsburg said that the finale would be different from what is usually seen on the network, and interesting choice of wording considering some of the CW’s long-running shows. He also said it’ll be big and insane.
Executive producer Jason Rothenberg teases a 100 spoiler via TVLine that the final scene of Wednesday’s finale will leave fans baffled and curious. He likens it to the feeling everybody got with the final scene of Season 1 and he says there’s a new story ahead in Season 3. Rothenberg says that Mount Weather has been fully covered at this point in terms of story, so the show is going to head in a new direction. It’ll have the same characters on the same show, but a very new story or world it seems.
