Unemployment lines may bid farewell: Mischa Barton rumored for Melrose Place

Unemployed actress Mischa Barton may have finally have founded a regular paying job: on the remake on Melrose Place.

Word has it that Mischa tested for a role earlier today, with the network said to be “very excited about her.”

Barton had said that she wanted to become a serious actress after finishing up with The O.C., and reportedly turned down the role of Georgina Sparks on Gossip Girl. Her movie career though hasn’t been successful (she was apparently in St Trinians, I must have missed that part), so now it’s back to TV and off the unemployment lines.

At least one site is suggesting that Barton could also play the role originally played by Heather Locklear. Delightful ?
