Will Duchess Kate Middleton Wear Pink To Visit ‘Downton Abbey’ Set And Film A Cameo? Last Appearance Before Baby [Video]
Duchess Kate Middleton recently has chosen pink for public outings, and now fans of her fashion are waiting eagerly to see what the princess will wear for her next appearance, which will take place on the set of Downton Abbey, reported Hello.
Already the proud mummy of Prince George, Kate will visit Downton Abbey on March 12 in what is expected to be one of her last outings before baby number two arrives. Both she and Prince William are such fans of the show that they even mentioned it while touring New York last year.
After meeting Downton Abbey executive producer Gareth Neame, William confessed that he was especially eager for the show’s Christmas special show. But he and Kate are not alone when it comes to the royal family’s passion.
The Duchess of Cornwall also has expressed her fondness for Downton Abbey, said actress Lesley Nichols.
“Camilla loves ‘Downton Abbey,'” shared the actress. “We have spoken and she genuinely loves the show.”
The Duchess of Cambridge will pay her royal respects to the show during the visit, acknowledging its success. Among the awards won by Downton Abbey are both a Golden Globe and an Emmy for Best Mini-Series.
Any chance that Duchess Kate will film a cameo? Only if the show needs a Princess Kate lookalike, based on the criteria that the producers gave to the New York Daily News about including guest stars on Downton Abbey.
“One thing I would say is that we don’t create parts for stars that want to be in the show,” clarified Neame. “We create characters to maintain the story and then we go and cast those parts.”
Some had hoped that Taylor Swift would be among those cast for the show, which has already featured guest actors such as Shirley MacLaine and Paul Giamatti, shown below.

But Neame feels that it’s important to achieve a coherent storyline rather than revise the plot to incorporate famous folks.
“This show is more about coming back to the characters you’re invested in.You root for those characters the more you think you get to know them.”
As for Princess Kate, she’ll be busy for the next few months managing life with a toddler and a new baby. As the Inquisitr reported, Duchess Kate has been scrupulous in following a holistic diet and using organic products. She’s even avoided her regular hair coloring, surprising her followers with grey strands all to keep her baby healthy.
