Year-Long Wedding Proposal Viral: Man Proposes To Girlfriend Everyday For One Year – Why Didn’t She Know?

Dean Smith is probably one of the most creative and romantic guys you’ll ever hear about. Smith, who is madly in love with his now-fiancé Jennifer Kessel, decided back in January of 2014 that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with the woman of his dreams. So, he came up with a creative way to express his love and devotion to his girlfriend.

According to the Daily Mail, Dean proposed for 365 consecutive days. However, the amazing part is she didn’t even know! While most would find this to be a bit odd, it was actually all part of his plan. For each day of the year, Dean took a picture holding a sign with different wedding proposals. Each sign was dated for every day of the year. So, how did he put it all together?

Dean made a documentary-style video, compiling all 365 days of his wedding proposal. The comical, heartwarming video titled “Best Marriage Proposal of 2015 (Warning: Will Make You Cry!) – 365 Day Engagement” was uploaded to YouTube in January of this year. The 16-minute video, which has gone viral with more than seven million views, also captures the moments leading up to his officially proposal in Aruba. Her family was already on the beach to give her the vide of his year-long proposal. The romantic beach proposal reportedly took place on Jennifer’s 26th birthday, January 8.

During a recent interview with the Huffington Post, he revealed how he came up with such a brilliant idea for a wedding proposal. “I knew that Jennifer was a fan of proposal videos on YouTube and would tear up at the sincerity and thoughtfulness of each proposal,” Dean said. “She showed several of them to me, and I decided that I wanted to make her tear up to her own proposal.”

The bride to be also chimed in with details about her reaction to the romantic year-long wedding proposal. “The thoughtfulness that went into making this video is truly beyond any words that I have,” Jennifer said. “When I turned around and saw Dean standing in front of me, we both broke down in tears.”
