Kim Matula Teases ‘Bold And Beautiful’ Return As Hope Logan

Kim Matula left the role of Hope Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful last December, but word has it she is making a return. Will Hope be sticking around for a while? That doesn’t appear to be the case, but fans aren’t giving up on the idea that Hope will be back for more.

Reports just broke that Kim Matula was returning to the set to take on the persona of Hope Logan again, and the actress teased fans over it via her Instagram page. The former Bold and Beautiful star showed a picture of herself on the set and asked if anybody could tell where she had been shooting. Of course, soap fans knew exactly where she was and clamored for more.

Just in case anybody wasn’t absolutely certain, Kim used the hashtag “#boldandbeautifulcbs.” She said it was one sweet day of shooting, which many would take to mean that this was indeed just a very brief reprisal of her role of Hope Logan. Her followers, of course, all commented with support and the hope that she’ll be back for more than just one episode.

As She Knows Soaps shared at the time of Matula’s departure, she indicated on her Instagram that she just had her last day of filming “for now.” She said that it was a tough decision to leave after five years on Bold and Beautiful, but she was itching to spread her wings a bit.

Matula added that she saw her departure not as a permanent goodbye but as more of a “see you later.” The door was certainly left open for Hope’s return, although there had been early indications that the soap would recast the role. Thus far, the character of Hope has simply remained out of town, so many will be curious to see just what brings her back.

Kim has had a couple of non-B&B projects in the works over the past few months, including one that soap opera fans will definitely want to check out. A short called Broken Strings stars not only Matula, but also Bold and Beautiful star Linsey Godfrey, Kelly Kruger — who has also been on both B&B and Y&R — fellow B&B star Darin Brooks, and Pretty Little Liars star Brant Daugherty.

Godfrey’s significant other and Young and Restless star Robert Adamson is the director of the short. It seems that Broken Strings is still in the works, so curious soap fans will have stay tuned for updates regarding its release.

At this point, an air date for Kim Matula’s The Bold and the Beautiful return hasn’t been revealed. For now, fans will have to stay tuned and wait to see if she can perhaps be enticed to stick around in the role of Hope Logan for a longer run.
